The Whites are also the least scored upon side in this edition of the Champions League, conceding only two goals against Dinamo Zagreb at the Bernabeu. They also managed to concede only two strikes last season against AC Milan at San Siro.

Real Madrid scored two goals in the first leg of the Copa del Rey Round of 32 against Ponferradina, tallying another five in the return clash. The Whites hadn't scored seven goals on aggregate in their first two games of the Copa del Rey in eight years, when they defeated San Sebastian 3-0 and Leganes 4-3.
