Real Madrid reached the UCL semifinals by defeating APOEL Nicosia 5-2 at the Bernabeu and earning an 8-2 aggregate score overall in the quarterfinals against them. The victory helped the Whites have the best start any team has ever had in the history of the Champions League.
Real Madrid won all six games in the group stage with 19 goals for and only two against. They went on to draw against CSKA Moscow in the first leg of the Last 16 and win against them in the return at the Bernabeu. They've scored 32 goals overall in the championship this season and have conceded only six (0.6 per match), fewer than any other side.

Mourinho's side has the best local numbers in the UCL with five victories and 22 goals scored at the Bernabeu. Their numbers on the road are also impressive, especially in defence, where they've managed to keep a clean sheet in four of their five away games.
